Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between double-acting and spring-return pneumatic actuators?
Double-acting actuators require air pressure in both the open and closed position. Single-acting (Spring-return) pneumatic actuators use air to move the valve in one direction but use internal mechanical springs that apply a force in the reverse direction to provide for an instant and safe position (either fully closed or fully open) of the valve should either `Air` supply or `Electric` Power be interrupted.
Do you provide complete automated assemblies with NAMUR Standard Solenoid valves?
Yes, All actuator models have standardized NAMUR(VDI/VDE 3845) mounting pads. They will be supplied completely retrofitted with 5/2 Solenoids on Double-Acting configurations and 3/2 Solenoids on Spring-Return configurations, and will support standard voltages ($24\text{V DC}, 110\text{V AC}, 230\text{V AC}$).
Do you carry out testing on your pneumatic actuated valves before dispatch from the factory?
Yes, of course!
